Chondroitin (Porcine)

Description

Chondroitin is a major component of cartilage which is the tough connective tissue that cushions the joint, and helps to keep it resilient by absorbing fluid into the connective tissue.

It supports healthy joint metabolism by stimulating the synthesis of Hyaluronic Acid which is an effective joint lubricant.

It is also thought to block the damaging enzymes that can break down cartilage, and provides the components required for cartilage to repair itself.

Several reports have shown it may be an effective treatment for Osteoarthritis (OA) – a type of arthritis caused by the inflammation, breakdown, and eventual loss of cartilage.

Chondroitin supplements have consistently been shown to assist in lessening the pain of OA, slowing down its progression, and has also been found to have virtually no side effects.

It is often taken with Glucosamine, which is another exceptionally effective treatment for OA.

This particular product is Chondroitin Sulphate from a porcine source.
