Raspberry Ketones

Description

Raspberry Ketones are a natural phenolic compound that is responsible for the aroma of red raspberries,  cranberries and blackberries.

Several studies have shown that Raspberry Ketones increase the secretion of Adiponectin, a protein hormone which regulates a number of metabolic processes, including glucose control and fatty acid catabolism.

Higher levels of adiponection have also been shown to control the metabolic processes that may result in Type 2 Diabetes, obesity, atherosclerosis, non-alcoholic fatty liver disease and metabolic syndrome.

Raspberry Ketones are widely used in perfumery, cosmetics, and as a food additive to impart a fruity odour.

Recent years have seen several Raspberry Ketone products marketed as weight loss supplements; however, there is little true clinical evidence to support this use and most reports rely on anecdotal cases.
